The federal election is too close to call, with the ABC’s Antony Green saying the result will not be known tonight.
The Coalition has faced a swing against it nationally of 3.6 per cent, with seats set to fall in New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania.
With nearly 70 per cent of the vote counted, the Coalition was on track to win 74 seats, while Labor was set to claim 67.
“We won’t know who’s won tonight,” analyst Antony Green said.
“At the moment on the numbers I’m seeing it’s not clear. I don’t think we’ll have a clearer picture by the end of tonight.”
